For some people, summer fun means pouring a cool drink and digging their toes in the sand. For Steven SanSoucie, it means grabbing a microphone and standing center
stage. And when you hear what his latest show is all about, you might just find yourself changing those
beach plans in order to see it.
SanSoucie is known to audiences throughout New England for his Broadway and pop music concerts.
He aims to please with his latest homage to The Great White Way, Broadway...ROCKS! While SanSoucie
calls his summer revue a “small show,” those who have been enjoying his performances for the past
several years know that there’s nothing miniscule about his love for music. “I love singing pop music, but my fans have been asking about when I’m doing a Broadway show concert/revue,” says SanSoucie. “So I’m giving them what they want.” SanSoucie’s a pretty accommodating fella. The song list he and husband/music partner Rob Wendel have cooked up are the makings of a greatest Broadway hits album for those who were weaned on Rent and Wicked. But anyone who loves a foot‐tapping tempo or a moody ballad will enjoy this show, which will include “One Night Only” from Dreamgirls, “Dancing Through Life” from Wicked, “Can’t Take My Eyes off You” from Jersey Boys, and “Seasons of Love” from Rent. SanSoucie will be back onstage at the newly renovated Club Café, where fans flock to him several times a month as part of the regular entertainment. Wendel will be musical director and pianist and will be joined by Randy Cloutier on percussion and Lee Whalen on bass. Joining SanSoucie for few numbers
will be vocalists Anne Marie Alvarez, Joe Berry, Kira Cowan, and Steve Dyer.
